Church Street: Cooper Art Gallery

This clear image of the Cooper Art Gallery (formerly Barnsley Grammar School) dates from about 1960. A notice/information board can be seen outside the main public entrance. The gallery was opened just before the start of the First World War in 1914. Named after the benefactor Samuel Joshua Cooper.
