A small group of single-storey commercial premises occupied Nos 18 to 24 Doncaster Road, this image dating from about 1964. Occupied by Smart & Batty (car dealer, 1950-62); White Rose Motoring School (1959-62) and Don Valley Sports (Camping, toys etc, 1959-64). 'Freeman's Yard' occupied the gap between Peck's and Smart & Batty.
