Doncaster Road (S.side): Junction Hotel (167) (View 2)

Image

Another view of the Junction Inn, this time from Doncaster Road. New outbuildings were added in the 1950s/early 1960s. The publican was James Griffiths. At the junction with Cemetery Road and Doncaster Road stood the Junction Hotel, a relatively tall (3-storey) building of stone painted white/cream for emphasis. This 1960s image shows the Junction when it was a Tennants house. Note the phone booth by the corner. The main access appears to have been via Cemetery Road.
