Eldon Street (N.side) : hackney cab/Harvey Institute

A horse-drawn taxi cab, its owner, dressed very smartly in top hat and overcoat, attending to his horse by Denton;'s toy shop and close to Popplewell's men's hairdresser's, part of the lower group of shops integrated into the Harvey Insitute. This early image propably dates from about 1890-1900.
