Eldon Street (S.side) : Blamires & Wilsons
Here we have a good 1960 view of Blamires wine and spirits store on the corner of Burlington Arcade. This is now number 1 in the arcade. Alan Blamires, wine merchant, had established his business at this location in 1931. Haigh Bros, newsagents then took over the shop. There is also a clear view of Wilsons, the large fashion shop, that functioned next to Blamires from 1941.
