Market Hill : E.side: Boots to Yorkshire Penny Bank

The lower east side of Market Hill in the 1930s. Boots the chemists occupied number 24 from 1923 to 1969. The milliners D.Evans & Co were at number 26, rom 1937-1915. The imposing National Provincial Bank functioned from 1915-1972, the site previously part occupied by the old Kings Head Hotel. And at the end of the hill, by the Eldon Street corner stood the almost equally prominent Yorkshire Penny Bank (30), here from 1902-1998.
