Market Hill : W.side : Curry's to Woodhouse

Image

An interesting variety of cars are parked on the west side of the hill, in front of Currys (prams, cycles, toys, electricals etc), Butchers (confectioners/bakers) Harts (wallpapers) and Woodhouse (furnishers). The entrance the Old Bank Yard, at the side of Old Number 7 Inn is just in view on the extreme right of the image. This view dates from about 1966. See E.G.Tasker's “Barnsley Streets”, vol.3, pp.28-31.
