New Street (view 51) (Briggs Tyres)

Next to the new Rowland Winn garage and by the Thomas Street junction stood Briggs Tyres, a plain, purpose-built facility originally for the Yorkshire Tyre Company and conveniently located for motorists and commercial users. The National Tyre and Auto Centre took over the building in the late 1970s.
