Summer Street : Moulder's Arms

Image

Summer Street connected to Summer Lane, the resdients of the terraced houses along either side faced with a fairly steep ascent from the twon in order to get home. The Moulder's Arms, a Clarkson Brewery pub, served the local workers and families, its painted frontage making it stand out from adjoining stone-built properties. The pub name was associated with the ironworks in the area.
