Peel Square (28) : South side : Lipton's

This mid-60s image can be compared with slightly earlier images, for example EGT1036. Lipton's were one of the first self-service 'supermarket-style' shops in Barnsley, their smart frontage at 6-8, attracting attention to shoppers. 'Super Simon', however, took over in about 1968.
