Peel Street (3) Miners' Demonstration/Gala
Miners march along Peel Street during the annual Yorkshire demonstration, bound for Locke Park and their popular gala. Banners can be seen in the distance, held aloft by the lodges or union branches. The Gala was regularly held in Barnsley, this one may have been one of the early photographed versions of 1899, 1900, 1904 or 1907.
