Looking up Regent Street in about 1900, the range of buildings on the left have been well sited and planned to deal with their respective commercial and public needs, including solicitors' offices. The Post Office is in view on the upper left side of the photograph. The image appears unusual today because the Town Hall and associated clearances had not taken place.
