Shambles Street : (North side) : Direct Paints & Denton's

Just above Direct Paints (see previous image) stood Gordon Denton's second-hand furniture shop (No.55) and above it DB Midland TV Service Dept and Stores. This rather grand building of three bays was subsequently occupied by Polyanna the fashion boutique from 1967-69.
