Sheffield Road (West side) : Colin Black to Billington & White
A wider view of commercial and residential properties from 141 (Colin Black's outfitters in the foreground ) to Billington's chemists (125). Next to Black's was the Patent Glass Tubing Co's small shop, and then Oldfield's men's barbers; Marie's hairdressers was next door, at 135, the entrance to Rhymer's Yard via an archway; then Caddock's the tobacconist's (133), Foster's (butchers) (131), Foster Estate Agent (129); and Billington's & White's chemists in the distance. It was a small but busy parade of shops.
