Cheapside: Albert Hirst c.1960

Albert Hirst's was one of Barnsley's most famous butchers, especially noted for pies and award-winning black pudding. Hirsts function from 26/25 Cheapside from 1901-1965. This image is from about 1960. The shop next door at number 27 is Wilberforce Coats (1949-62) and then part of the Duke of York Hotel.
