Sheffield Road (East side) : Beesons & Snelsons

On the east side of the road, the trading area between Pontefract Road and Primrose Hill was occupied by Beesons (Ladies Outfitters) at number 2 and Snelsons (televisions/electrical) at number 4. This image is from about 1960. Beesons had functioned from as long agao as 1912 (to 1967) and Snelsons from 1959 (to 1962). Midwood Sports took over from Beesons in 1968.
