Sheffield Road (East side) : Silverstones DIY

Silverstones, the woodworkers' and DIY store had a prominent presence near the Manx Arms at 33-38 from 1957 to 1962. Earlier, the premises were used by G.H. Denton, the very well known photographic studio and business associated with generations of Barnsley people.
