Queen Street: north side: F.W.Woolworth & Co Ltd 1960s

The F.W.Woolworth store is prominent in this 1960/70s image. Woolworths had established their store in Barnsley in 1932., rebuilding in 1972 and continuing until closure in 1984. Next door was the Royal Oak Hotel and the Queen's Hotel so this was a prime business site.
