Summer Lane (west side) : 38-50 terrace

This short terrace of 6 properties, numbered 38-50, was typical of the working-class/artisan houses close to factories and works. This c.1964 image also shows the nearness of present/former industrial/commercial properties in the distance. The schoolboy leaning against the wall of the Crookes Street corner adds much interest to the composition.
