New Street (view 48) (Globe Inn)
Next to the Globe Cinema, at the junction with John Street, stood the Globe Inn, a large 4-bay brick building with a plain frontage. This image dates from 1960 when Clarkson's owned the pub. Peter Light was the publican. See pp94-96 of 'Barnsley Streets' (vol 2).
